A Fantastic Plant

A Fantastic Plant

Some of you may have noticed, Mr Fantastic and I were not the best of friends. What you may not have known is that we had an understanding. You see, underneath it all, we loved each other. We mocked each others faults. I couldn’t count how many times I ran to the cube crying after she made a comment about my foot feathers but in my heart of hearts I knew she didn’t mean it.

A week ago something terrible happened. I turned around for just a moment and when I looked back Mr Fantastic was on the floor. I couldn’t say what had happened but it was clear she had passed. Oscar and Dave reacted badly and pecked the body until they were covered in blood. Their reaction to the grief sickened me so I pecked back.

Over the next few days we were at war until the big chicken stepped in. She stopped them from pecking and laid Mr Fantastic to rest under a spectacular new tree. Rest in peace my dear friend, you will be sorely missed.

The moving stone

The moving stone

Something like seriously weird has happened man. The big chicken has brought home a moving stone – no sh%&

Dust bath mania

Dust bath mania

We were all hanging catching worms and Bruno and Oscar were going mental in the dust bath. I was just chillin wondering why grass is so like green man. A generally sweet afternoon (except when Bruno moaned at Oscar for getting her stupid foot feathers dirty).

So then the big chicken comes over. And we think shes like gonna give us some food but instead she has this stone – which is already weird. The she like, puts down the stone and seriously, I could have been tripping but it actually got up and started walking around.

This has been the most f&*ked up day ever man.

Hensington Palace

Hensington Palace

Well, I can finally say my dreams have come true! The giant chicken with no feathers has moved us into a chicken palace!

It all started this morning when I could hear the big ones clomping around and making a racket in the land filled with plants. They were moving strange green squares around and seemed to be building some kind of hut.

Eventually come afternoon, chickens started disappearing! First Stewy, then Bruno and even Pingu seemed to have vanished. When the big chicken with no feathers came and carried me away all the pieces of straw started to fall in place – we were moving!

Bruno has obviously claimed the credit, boasting that her endless bingo games have finally paid off, but I think the big chickens with no feathers must just like us a lot.

Anyway, gotta go, I’m aiming for first dibs on the nest box!

Do my feathers look big in this?

Do my feathers look big in this?

b b b bbaaaAARRRrrrrrkk bbb… oh, excuse me.

My name is Bruno and I would like to share with you my thoughts, feelings, hopes and desires. I like to think I am a carbon copy of my name sake, from the greatest film known to Chicken, Fame. In truth, it could be said I am more of a shrinking violet.

My best friend, Oscar, says I am petite but I know what she really means. I think I may be a midget chicken. I’m so small that sometimes the other chickens stomp on my head. I look up at our leaders, Pingu and Stewy and dream of having head appendages as impressive and glamorous. When the giant chicken with no feathers comes to bring us beak yums, I can barely fly high enough to great her.

One day I will become big and beautiful and my chicken friends will deam me spectacular enough to hang out by the water feeder. Until then, I will stick to maximising my assets such as my fabulous feeders and lovable personality.
